Obaseki: 'After 60 Years in Government, You Have No New Ideas; Go and Rest' -Adams Oshiomole

After sixty years in office without innovative policies, former Edo State governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has delivered a scathing criticism of long-serving officials, arguing that new leadership is necessary. According to Oshiomhole, the state can’t move forward without leaders who are both creative and enthusiastic.

For younger, more ambitious officials to take over, he said, long-serving officials who haven’t innovated should think about resigning or applying for federal positions. Taken as a whole, this position reflects the need for innovative and energetic leadership in Edo State.

He said in a live stream by TVC, “He has been a secretary to government for 8 years, put together 60 years he has been there, and Edo is not only for one person. So, I will never use kind words on him but I will advise him as an elder: it is time for him to go and rest.

If he won’t work, let him upgrade to Federal level. For Edo, it should allow younger people who are hungry to prove themselves. After 60 years, if you have no new ideas, it is time to step aside.”

He said it in the video below around 12:35 till the end. Enjoy.
