WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to add up to 512 people to groups

After announcing the release of the ability to react to messages to everyone on the latest versions of WhatsApp for Android, iOS, and Desktop, WhatsApp is now rolling out another useful feature: the ability to add up to 512 people to groups!

In a new blog post on their website, the company is finally announcing their future plans about new features for WhatsApp available in the coming weeks. The first feature is about the release of message reactions to everyone, already announced by Mark Zuckerberg today (but since the company is slowly rolling out the feature, it will take up to 7 days before reaching everyone).
WhatsApp is also announcing that the company is now rolling out sharing media files up to 2GB in size, protected by end-to-end encryption: WhatsApp has previously tested the new limit in Argentina some time ago, and the company is now ready to release it to everyone. But there is something more to announce today: the ability to add up to 512 people to groups!

As you can see in this screenshot, it is possible to add up to 512 participants to our WhatsApp groups, that’s one of the top requests of WhatsApp users. This will also be very useful when releasing the ability to create a communities.
Even if the screenshot is taken from WhatsApp for iOS, this won’t obviously be limited to the iOS platform but it is rolling out to Android beta users as well. In their blog post, WhatsApp also announces that the company is slowly rolling out the feature: this is very common when releasing features, so don’t be surprised if you cannot add more than 256 people to your groups today. The feature will be enabled for more WhatsApp accounts over the coming weeks.

WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.11.10: what’s new?

WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.11.10.
What’s new in this update? WhatsApp is now rolling out message reactions to more people and a new footer for end-to-end encryption to some beta testers today!

WhatsApp was working on a new footer to inform people that their chats, status updates, and calls are secured by end-to-end encryption by adding this information at the bottom of some sections. We have published an example in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.10.14 update and WhatsApp is releasing the new footer to some beta testers today:

As you can see in this screenshot, the new footer says that your personal messages are end-to-end encrypted. WhatsApp has also developed a new page that informs people what is secured by end-to-end encryption: text and voice messages, audio and video calls, photos, videos, and documents, location sharing, and status updates. The new page is also available right within WhatsApp Settings > Account > Security.
Note that the new footer has also been added at the bottom of your call history, status updates, and devices list and it is available to some beta testers today.
In addition, after the announcement by Mark Zuckerberg about message reactions, more people are now able to react to messages after installing this beta update. Enjoy!!

  • How to Structure your Technical Project Manager Resume to Showcase Technical Skills

How to Structure your Technical Project Manager Resume to Showcase Technical Skills

A project manager is one of the most responsible positions in any company. A project manager deals with every asset engaged in the assigned project to ensure smooth working.

    Technical Project Manager Resume

Considering the continuous transformation in technology, project managers are in high demand in different niches. According to a recent report by Zippia, more than 593,918 project managers are currently employed in the United States.

These numbers are expected to grow exponentially as new startups emerge every day. Hence, you need to keep upgrading your project management skills to stay updated with the current technical environment.

Moreover, you will need a professional resume for technical project manager jobs in the United States. Considering this, we are listing here five pro tips that will help you in showcasing your technical skills effectively in your technical project manager resume:

Outline Resume in a Suitable Format

Selecting a suitable format for your resume is the initial step you can take to bag your targeted job. Though numerous resume formats are available online, you can opt for a reverse-chronological or combination resume format.

Use the functional resume format in exceptional cases where professionals have a career gap. It focuses more on skill sets rather than professional details.

Add Technical Keywords & Highlight Them Wherever Possible

Nowadays, numerous companies worldwide are dependent on ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to execute the initial resume screening round. The ATS filters out on-suitable resumes and saves a lot of recruiter’s time.

To get through the ATS without any complications, we recommend using as many technical keywords as you can. ATS will catch those keywords during the screening time, and you will shortlist you as an eligible candidate.

Showcase Key Skills & Technical Skills Separately

Your skills will present your capabilities for the targeted role. Hence, it is imperative to showcase them appropriately.

We advise you to make separate sections for listing your technical and key skills in the resume. This step will increase your shortlisting chances in the recruitment process.

Address Cause-Effect Relationship in Bullet Points

While showcasing the bullet points of your professional details, always try to address the cause-effect relationship. It will help the recruiter identify problems, solutions, and results gained in the previous role.

Add Skills in Resume Summary Smartly

You can smartly add your skills to the resume summary to make your resume technically strong. The skills will work as technical keywords that will help you pass the ATS screening round and recruiter screening round as well.

    Key Takeaways

Take a look at the key takeaways of this article:

    • Choose an appropriate resume format to make the outline
    • Add technical keywords and bold them wherever possible
    • Mention your technical and key skills in separate sections
    • Address the cause-effect relationship in the resume bullet points
    • Embed technical skills while writing your resume summary

These guidelines will help you make a technically sound professional project manager resume to bag your targeted project management job. Wishing you the best of luck in your job searching process.

Top 5 Tools That Will Check Plagiarism Accurately

Plagiarism is a serious allegation against anyone trying to write a copy for a product or presenting some research work as an effort of their own.

People often confuse paraphrasing with direct copy-pasting or duplicating someone’s work. In general, you won’t find one type of plagiarism, but there are various degrees and definitions of plagiarism.

5 Tools That Will Check Plagiarism

What are the types of plagiarism?

    Direct Plagiarizing

This type of plagiarism is the plain and simple copy-pasting technique an individual follows. Taking someone else’s content and putting it online precisely in their words or phrases to raise your website’s ranking is much like direct stealing.

Even if you copy a single paragraph from a blog or website without mentioning their reference or credit, it would be plagiarism.

    Idea Plagiarizing

This type of plagiarism is a part of some controversial debates as people believe duplicating words is the only way of plagiarism. However, stealing someone’s idea without mentioning their credits is still a form of plagiarism.

This type of plagiarism involves taking an idea or paragraph to include as a part of our research. Without mentioning the source of the website or study, one can take legal action against idea thieves to take off the content from the website.

    Self-Plagiarism

Self-Plagiarism is also referred to as unintentional plagiarism, like repeating an idea or piece of work mentioned in previous writing.

Self-plagiarism is usually found when an author has to repeatedly write about the same thing. In such scenarios, maintaining uniqueness becomes a challenge for many.

  • WhatsApp Group Polls Feature Coming Soon: Spotted on Latest iOS Beta

WhatsApp Group Polls Feature Coming Soon: Spotted on Latest iOS Beta

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to create polls on group chats, this feature was spotted on the latest WhatsApp iOS Beta. This feature is currently available on popular social platforms such as Telegram and Facebook Messenger, finally, it is coming to WhatsApp.

    WhatsApp for iOS

This new development was leaked by WABetaInfo, which spotted the development of the group polls features on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. Currently, this feature is yet to be made available on the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS better since it is still under development.

Looking at the image below, you can see an overview of how to create a poll on WhatsApp for iOS. The picture did not provide enough functionality for a better understanding, however, it is clear users will be asked to type in the question they need on the poll before they tap on the “create” button. Obviously, users will be allowed to add two or more questions on the poll questions option, but we are unsure how many polls can be created.

The poll may be protected by end-to-end encryption such as the messages, attachments, and calls made on WhatsApp – according to the feature tracker. This will ensure that only group participants and admins will be able to see the poll alongside its results. We’ve made mentioned of this feature is in development for iOS, we can be sure it will make its way to WhatsApp for Android and WhatsApp for Desktop soon.

This new feature is very useful as we have seen the uses on other social media services like Telegram and Facebook Messenger. This being added on WhatsApp will make it easier for admins to get the opinions of group members before making a decision. When the feature is finally released for beta users, we will get more info regarding the feature such as if polls can be selected multiple times, and if admins can edit polls after it has been sent.

  • WhatsApp File Sharing Size Limit to Increase from 100MB to 2GB

WhatsApp File Sharing Size Limit to Increase from 100MB to 2GB

WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature improvement that will allow users to be able to send media files as large as 2GB instead of the current limit of 100MB. For now, beta users will be able to test this new feature on WhatsApp for iOS and Android.

WhatsApp File Sharing Size Limit to Increase

WABetainfo, a tracking website for WhatsApp beta updates said that a few beta users with Android and iOS for WhatsApp in Argentina will be able to test-run the feature that allows them to share media files as large as 2GB in size.

    WhatsApp File Sharing 2GB

Furthermore, the report says the WhatsApp beta versions supported to receive the updates are v2.22.8.5, v2.22.8.6, and v2.22.8.7 for Android, while the iOS beta version is v22.7.0.76.

Whenever this feature is released to the public, it will be a very useful improvement because users will be able to send important documents or files that are over 100MB to their contacts or group chats. This way, important information can be shared between users, instead of through another platform.

It is notable that WhatsApp usually compresses media files sent over their app, which reduces the quality, especially on images, so it is unclear if there will be an improvement on this too since it was also reported that the instant-messaging platform is testing showing previews for media files sent as documents.

WhatsApp’s current features are really beneficial, in fact, recently they added a feature for WhatsApp for Android that allows users to pause and resume voice recording messages while recording.

iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max Camera Bump to be Bigger than its Predecessor

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be coming with a bigger camera bump in comparison to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max due to the iPhone 14 Pro coming with a 48-megapixel wide camera sensor.

    iPhone 14 Pro

This report is coming just a few days after the previous leaked design schematics said to be of the upcoming iPhones 14 series suggested a slightly taller and thicker build compared to device predecessors. It was also suggested the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be a bit shorter, but thicker than the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst gave detailed information about the camera bulge of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. He tweeted “main reason for the larger and more prominent rear-camera bump of the [iPhone] 14 Pro/ Pro Max is upgrading the wide camera to 48MP (vs. 13 Pro/ Pro Max’s 12-megapixel camera).” He added that the “diagonal length of 48-megapixel CIS will increase by 25-35 percent, and the height of 48-megapixel sensor’s 7P lens will increase by 5-10 percent.”

The above report claims that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max thickness will be increased to 7.85mm as compared to 7.65mm of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition, the bulge is said to be 12.02mm thick which is more than the current generation of Apple handsets.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are also expected to neglect the display notch by replacing it with a pill-shaped hole punch cutout. The smartphones are also tipped to be powered by the next-generation Apple A16 Bionic chip.

According to a report by 9to5Google, Google is removing the Hangouts mobile app from official app stores like Apple Store and Google Playstore since they’ll be focused on the newer version of the app known as Google Chat.

However, users who haven’t downloaded Google Chat on their smartphone or tablet have only two options once the Hangouts app gets disabled – the first option is to make use of the Gmail app that comes integrated with Chat and Meet support or download the Google Chat app on their phones.

YouTube Timed Reactions Feature Added – Lets users React to Videos with Emojis

Google is testing a new YouTube timed reactions feature on its mobile apps that allow users to react to specific moments in a video with up to 8 emojis. This could be a useful replacement for the removed YouTube dislike counts for videos.

    YouTube Timed Reactions

YouTube is reported testing this feature as an experiment, so this could mean there will be changes or improvements to the feature. The announcement on YouTube’s support website two days ago revealed they are rolling out a new timed reactions experiment to users after receiving positive feedback about its timed comments beta feature.

YouTube further explained what the new timed reactions experiment will look like. They said when a user is watching a video, they will be able to react to a specific moment in the video by opening the comment section and tapping on the reaction panel. This section will also show users’ crowd reactions. However, Google selected a few channels that will be part of this experiment, so for now, it is not available to the public.

    YouTube Timed Reactions

Google says as part of the new YouTube timed reactions experiment, they will test “multiple sets” of reactions while adding or removing reactions based on user feedback.

There is currently no news on if the new timed reaction experiment will roll out to all users, nor if it will be available on the PC version of YouTube since the announcement shows timed reactions in action on the YouTube app on a smartphone.
