Barcelona centre-back, Gerard Pique, has revealed why he hasn’t tied the knot with popstar partner Shakira.
Pique claims he is satisfied with where he is in life and doesn’t feel marriage would influence their relationship.
When asked by Gary Neville on The Overlap why he hasn’t married Shakira, the Spaniard replied: “No, I’m not married.”
Neville then asked if Pique wasn’t proposing because Shakira wants to keep him on his toes, to which he replied: “It’s her mentality!”
He continued: “I like how we are right now. We have two kids, nine and seven, and we work good as a couple. We don’t have the need to be married, it’s fine.” [sic].
Neville then joked that Pique had proposed to Shakira privately but was turned down, but he laughed off the comment. “No no no,” he said, “I would tell you!”
Former Cameroon striker, Samuel Eto’o has said his country can win the 2022 World Cup if they follow Jose Mourinho’s method at Inter Milan.
Mourinho led the Serie A club to winning the Champions League trophy in 2010.
Eto’o, 41, who is currently the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, was part of the Inter squad under the Portuguese tactician.
In the 2009/2010 season, they lifted the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia, and their first Champions League title in 45 years.
Cameroon will play Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland in Group of this year’s World Cup.
When asked if coach Rigobert Song can lead Cameroon to World Cup glory, Eto’o, who is currently in Italy to announce a charity game in San Siro on May 23, said as quoted by BeSoccer: “I don’t see why he can’t win it.
“I believe that in order to win the World Cup you don’t need to be monsters or aliens, you need good preparation, a strong mentality, and a pinch of madness.
“I won a bit in my career and to do it I gave everything. I always take Inter as an example: no one at the beginning of the 2009-10 season thought we could win [the Champions League] and instead, Mourinho did something crazy, with a group of men and warriors.
“I would like something like that for Cameroon too.”

His intention to run for the House of Assembly in Cross Rivers, however, triggered reactions from fans who are in disbelief.
Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has stated that those who keep attacking him don’t understand why he did what he did.
According to him, a lot of people who criticize his action do not live with him, and therefore cannot understand the reason for his decision to take a second wife.
The actor believes that he’s being put through all these because he’s being prepared for the presidential seat.

Veteran actor, Charles Awurum has frowned at some malpractices in Nollywood as he calls for those he described as ‘quarks’ to be removed for Africa’s apex movie industry to stand out.
Noting that money is one of the factors that has destroyed the Nigerian movie industry, Charles submitted that some people join the industry just to acquire fame even when they are not talented.
Pointing out some of the malpractices in the industry, the comic actor claimed some actors and actresses now buy the roles they want to play even when they can’t perform. He also alleged that some of them join the industry for prostitution.
“These are the things you watch that will make you not to want to be part of every production. They also use cameras that are not up-to-date, resulting in works of low quality,” Charles lamented.
The veteran thespian made these revelations while speaking to The PUNCH about his growing up and acting career.
Answering a question on the challenges faced by the industry and the reported inadequate technical know-how in the industry, Charles said: “I didn’t say money is the only issue; I said it is one of the factors that have destroyed the industry. Most people come into the industry, feeling that once in, everything will fall in place. They don’t take their time to learn the technical part of the job, especially production. They want to be this; they want to be that, even though they cannot act.
“Some come and pay for the production and do other things just to have their way and get the fame they want. People are there for different reasons, anyways – some to make fame, some money, not minding the quality of production they do. Some are there for women and some women are there to make name in order to go into other things and have their way in the world and make what they want out of it. Some are there for prostitution and others for reasons best known to them.
“When you are in an industry for the sake of that industry, you make it happen, but when you are there for the sake of other things, you wouldn’t. When you come into the industry, you are there for film sake, to make a name and achieve a goal in that industry, not to go and look for women or do other things that are not important to the production process.
“There are some who come into the industry without even having talents and they don’t want to learn either. They are just there to say that they are into film production and they are messing up the industry. Some even buy the roles they want to play, show off with big cars, give gifts to producers in order to have an edge. You will see an actor who cannot deliver a scene in a movie playing a lead role and they make things difficult for everyone involved in that production. They can go on for days trying to shoot just a scene and the producers wouldn’t still want to change that cast because the person has been benevolent to them. Some even sell roles nowadays. These are the things you watch that will make you not to want to be part of every production that comes.
“This is what is happening there and for lack of money, they also use cameras that are not up-to-date, resulting in works of low quality. But there are still good movies and until we remove those quarks, Nigeria’s movie industry will still be seen as an industry that doesn’t know what it is doing.
Sensational actress, Temi Otedola has disclosed how she knew Mr Eazi was the one for her.

Popular Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi has accused her estranged husband, Justin Dean of stealing a sum of 5000 dollars from her.
Making the allegation in her Facebook live video on Saturday, the dancer who noted that she could no longer be silent over her marriage, narrated how she had mistakenly sent the money into their joint account and Dean immediately emptied the account.
In her words: “I did not want to speak about my divorce in public, it was a decision I made, knowing that the internet never forgets and considering that I’m putting my children first.
“But at this juncture, I have no choice but to do what I’m doing right now.
“I have a lot of bills to pay including a $21,000 meant for the lawyer over their divorce case. Justin has not been responsible for any bills even though he caused all of them.”
Korra said Justin stole from her and her girls, adding that she had messaged him to refund the money, but she didn’t understand what Dean was saying.
“He just wants us to be homeless. I made the money for my girls, from my promotion, I sent it for rent, but he’s stealing from us.

Chelsea, on Saturday morning, officially confirmed Todd Boehly as the club’s new owner.
In a statement via their website, the Premier League giants confirmed that terms have been agreed for the new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, to acquire the West London club.
Boehly became Chelsea’s new owner following the completion of his £3.5billion takeover, replacing Roman Abramovich.
His consortium was named as the preferred bidder to take over Chelsea by the Raine Group, the US bank who are overseeing the sale.
Chelsea’s statement read in part: “Chelsea Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjoerg Wyss, to acquire the Club.
“The sale is expected to complete in late May subject to all necessary regulatory approvals. More details will be provided at that time.”

Who can use WhatsApp message reactions?
Mark Zuckerberg announced on Instagram that the message reactions feature starts rolling out — finally exiting the beta program — on May 5 2022, so check the Play Store, App Store or APKMirror for the latest version of WhatsApp.
How do you react to a message in WhatsApp?
Message reactions were confirmed by WhatsApp’s head, Will Cathcart, in a video over on Twitter, and on the WhatsApp blog. If you’re a long-time user of other Meta messaging services, or pretty much any other major messaging platform, you’ll find the reactions to be intuitive. In case you’re not familiar with Facebook Messenger or Instagram’s messaging interface, reacting to a message is simple — just follow these steps:
Open WhatsApp (the same applies for Facebook Messenger and Instagram).
Long press the message to which you wish to react.
A pop-up will appear with six available emoji.
Select one of the six emoji in the pop-up to use that as the reaction.
Your message reaction will appear below the message you previously selected.
At launch, there will only be 6 emoji available, but as the feature develops, WhatsApp will add support for all emoji and skin tones that you can normally use in messages.
If you don’t see reaction notifications in WhatsApp, make sure you’ve updated the app. The update is being rolled out server-side, and it may take a few weeks for everyone to see notification reactions in WhatsApp.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is also beta testing a feature to enable or disable notifications for reactions to messages you’ve sent. You can locate the reaction notifications toggle under Settings -> Notifications as a toggle called Reaction Notifications.
